The goal of our current profit-based economy is to maximize profits regardless of the social or environmental costs. However, the reality is that this profit-based economy is no longer necessary (due to the evolution of our species), and is causing the decline of our humanity as a whole. We have the knowledge and the technology to build a resource-based economy, however that which has already been developed or discovered is largely hidden from the public. This knowledge that could construct our resource-based economy is hidden because it would make the profit-based economy completely obsolete (and all those who benefit from the profit hierarchy would fall with it). If you have not heard of The Venus Project, I suggest you watch the documentary below, or visit their website at http://www.thevenusproject.com. The future of a resource based economy is entirely possible, we simply have to CHOOSE it for ourselves. Join the LOVEvolution <3 People all over the world are pushing for equal rights instead of racism, sexism etc., yet very few are standing up to the biggest discrimination of all: money! Why? Because we have "accepted" that we have no control over the situation; which again, is another problem in itself. It's time to stand up and lead your own lives instead of following the heard that is leading you down a life where you haven't a clue of the destination (even if you THINK you do). The only way we can know the destination is if we plan the route ourselves. We DO have the power to change the world and there IS strength in numbers. We should be sharing in the Earth's many resources and taking care of humanity as a WHOLE. When you buy their products, support their organizations you are also supporting the poverty and hardship that comes as a result. So join the LOVEvolution! Become self employed, produce and create your own resources, and share and exchange with those in your community <3 Below is a short clip from the film Zeitgeist:Addendum. See the website http://www.thezeitgeistmovement.com for more information on the Zeitgeist Movement and the other Zeitgeist films created by Peter Joseph. "Neither the great political and financial power structures of the world, nor the population in general realize that... it is now highly feasible to take care of everybody on earth at a higher standard of living than any have ever known. It no longer has to be you or me. Selfishness is unnecessary and henceforth unrationalizable as mandated by survival. War is obsolete." -R. Buckminster Fuller While mainstream society is focused on finding LOVE externally, the only true place to find LOVE is inside of YOU! Sometimes, however, if we have a great amount of negativity surrounding us, it may be difficult to dig deep and find even an ounce of positivity for love. The answer to this problem, is nature.
Many scientists have explored this and have found great evidence to show that time spent in nature is not only good for your mental health, but also for your physical development. David Suzuki conducted a 30x30 challenge, challenging Canadians across the country to spend 30 minutes a day outside, for 30 days. You can read the article here to see the findings were quite successful! Even people who do not have a lot of time, or are surrounded by the city limits can benefit from getting outside the constraints of a building with only 30 minutes to spare. Being outside, breathing the fresh air and hearing the sounds of nature not only adds happiness and energy to the body but also removes stress and anxiety. So if only 30 minutes a day can make a change, imagine how much positivity, happiness and love you could find within yourself by spending even just a little more than that? I can tell you from experience that you can find A LOT. Since we moved from the bustling city of Calgary, to the beautiful mountainside in British Columbia there have been significant changes in both my husband and I, and even our 2 cats! I, am able to see everything more clearly, myself included. My husband, who has struggled with anger and negativity for a lot of his life, is now able to step outside, take a deep breath and move to a more positive mind space. And our cats, well they went from hiding all day in the smallest corners of the apartment they could find, to being on top of the couch, by the window, meowing all day (with me talking back;), running and playing with each other, and rubbing against us for constant love and affection. So if you want to start making changes to your life, I would suggest you take a step outside, breathe in the nature around you, and find the LOVE inside of yourself; that self love will be the catalyst for all your changes. Today, we live in a society in which we keep to ourselves, judge a book by its cover, and are always looking over our shoulder. All we ever hear in the news are the daily crime incidences and corporation crashes. But I bet if you asked any one of your grandparents, they would tell you it wasn't always like this. So what happened? I have read that there are only 2 emotions that humans experience, while all others are simply a branch of the two: love and fear. When we look at how our emotions equate vibrations, then we can see how individuals can live in a state of emotional frequency. Those living in a love frequency experience life in a calm, positive, proactive way while able to heal and learn more quickly as well as question and explore more freely. Those who live in a frequency of fear will experience life in a more stressful, rigid way while becoming ill more easily and having difficulty healing. So our ancestors lived in love, but now we live in fear. This is no coincidence my friends; the system has been structured to breed fear through laws, schools, debt, terrorism, media etc. Why? Because those who live in fear are weaker, sicker, question less, and are more easily controlled. We follow the laws we had no say in because we are afraid to go to jail, we go to dead-end, meaningless jobs because we're afraid to lose it (for we'd have no money to pay our bills) and we pay our bills because we are afraid to lose our homes! Not to mention all the tiny fragments of fear they drop into our every day with petty organizational rules, time constraints or deadlines, as well as constant changes to an already misunderstood governmental system. So what's my point? My point is we need to be aware of what we are allowing to be seeded in the soil of our brains, because it is not only affecting our thoughts, but our physical and global well being. We need to make a conscious choice to live in love and allow only THOSE seeds to be planted! While I know this is difficult in a fear based society, I offer you a few words for every day living:
For those of you chip lovers out there like me, nuts are a super alternative! They can be salty and crunchy, and are filled with many more vitamins and minerals (for a bonus energy boost!) compared to our tasty friend the potato. According to Health Magazine, almonds, cashews and pistachios are among the healthiest for you, but there are so many other varieties of nuts to choose from: brazil nuts, hazel nuts, chestnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, peanuts, walnuts and pine nuts. Each type of nut has its own unique combination of vitamins and minerals, so (as always;) do some independent research if you're more interested in what your taking in.
Happy snacking :) Why are we always sick and tired? Why does it always seem like its one thing after the other? Why is it that every time I walk into a clinic or hospital I walk out with a prescription that very rarely gets me better, and if it does, is usually followed by some other issue? The answer is in the way we live our lives. It wasn't until I was able to leave my job and move to the countryside that I really began to see the truth: as much as I loved working with kids, 5 days a week at a full 8 hours a day (on top of maintaining the rest of my life) was literally eating away at my body. Not just the fact that I was following the higher status' schedule and tasks, but I was also supplementing other parts of my life because of it. Mentally, I was putting my own emotional needs aside for someone else's, and physically I was fuelling my body with the quickest, easiest foods because there was never enough time in the day. Is this how life is really supposed to be? I think not! If you begin to examine the way we treat ailments and illnesses, we are always focusing on the quickest way to "fix" the problem. We don't have time be sick so we need to get better NOW! So again, to fulfill the needs of higher status, we take the quick fix pills so we can get better and get back to work. The problem with these quick fixers (aside from the fact that its a billion dollar industry) is that they are chemically produced, synthetic substances designed to "trick" our brain into thinking that there is no longer pain or discomfort, when the pain is likely still there. The chemicals in these drugs will also interact with your body's own natural chemicals causing imbalances and reactions we may never be aware of. Some prescription drugs can also cause the brain to stop producing its own chemicals, and without the drugs will not be able to function properly. The reality is that pain is the body's way of telling us that something is not functioning properly, that the body is not getting enough of what it needs and we need to replenish, not mask it. This means that the answers to our problems cannot be found in some prescription medication, but in our own bodies basic needs. The best part is, we were born on a planet that naturally produces all the foods, vitamins and minerals that our bodies need to survive; like peas in a pod ;)
The other great thing is that our bodies were created to heal themselves completely from anything. If you smash your finger and it bruises, that bruise will heal. If you cut your finger open, that cut will heal. Your body does the same thing with all of your organs, but if the body doesn't have all the nutrients it needs to preform those actions, the job it does will be less than par (which is where most of us are at). We are causing disease by fuelling our bodies with unnatural, chemically injected, genetically modified, processed foods, then creating more disease by taking more synthetic drugs that only mask the pain, and often cause other internal problems or side effects. After unravelling all this, the conclusion I have come to is that the body knows best. But how can we expect to run a machine, if you don't know what it needs to run. So, we need to take a more active role in learning about the vehicle that gets us through the days, knowing how to PROPERLY nourish the body and what it means when we have pain. When I wake up in the morning I listen to what my body is telling me, not some other person. If it tells me I need more sleep, then I go back to bed. If it doesn't tell me anything, then I can act proactively by providing it with natural foods, clean water, fresh oxygen, sunlight, exercise etc. These are not new concepts, but they deserve much more attention than they've been given. I know from experience that nourishing the body, listening to it, and fulfilling its needs is very difficult to do in the "go go go", "time is money" society that we live in. But I also know that in the long run, the fear of not meeting the expectations of the higher status will only eat away at us to the point where we have no lives left to live. While many believe our actions should serve the greater good, the truth is that we can only serve the greater good when we as individuals are fully nourished first. So join me in steering your own path: actively learn about the human vessel, access the natural resources this beautiful planet has provided and take care of YOU! Check out this new related article posted today on The Healer's Journal ;) If you haven't heard of Nikola Tesla, I suggest you do some research on him and his theories. Tesla was an inventor and scientist who explored electrical engineering and was the catalyst for many of our modern day tools such as radio transmission, X-rays and even wireless technology! He understood that we are all vibrational beings, and discovered that "alpha waves in the human brain are between 6 and 8 hertz. The wave frequency of the human cavity is between 6 and 8 hertz. All biological systems operate in the same frequency range...and the electrical resonance of the earth is between 6 and 8 hertz."
So once you start to understand that we, our thoughts, our emotions and everything around us is functioning on vibrational frequencies, then you can start to appreciate how simply changing the way we think or altering our belief system can truly change your own reality. Many of us are currently vibrating on a fear based frequency (thoughts of worry, fear, scarcity etc.), and as we know, like attracts like. So, we need to change the way we think in order to attract the life we want. Mike Dooley, entrepreneur and author, provides inspiration for people all over the world, and give this suggestion as a starting point for changing your thoughts: "Just once a day, imagine the life you dream of. Believe that it can be yours in this world of magic and miracles. Choose to live as if you know of its inevitable manifestation. Don't compromise. Don't worry. Don't look for results. And as surely as spirit crafts one moment after another, so too will it fuse together the life you now lead with the life of your dreams as if they were two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, destined to become one." 1. It’s impossible for anyone else to define YOU.
2. You were born with everything you need. 3. Perfection is a man-made illusion. 4. You are NOT your thoughts. 5. Your beliefs can be modified to lift you up. 6. The past and future don’t exist. Now is the moment. 7. Your calling in life is to fully express who you already are. 8. Challenges are gifts for your growth. 9. Forgiveness is choosing happiness over hurt. 10. Surrender is the essence of a happy life. Letting go is not giving up. Read the full article here. |
